Reviving moments

It's been a real blustery day since afternoon. The way the wind blows is as if you will loose control and be blown away. Somehow today, I don't feel as chilly as the nights before considering the fact that I'm still not used to the cold, even if the temperature rises on average 20 degree celsius . It's currently 21.4 degree celsius in Brisbane.

Day started off with another bad dream. Slept at nine-ish yesterday night and woke up at four-ish feeling agitated. I can't exactly recalled what my dream was, except that it all involves people who are closely connected to me. The last one I remembered most was that granny had alzheimer. The worst and most cruel thing that could ever happen to people-when they no longer remember who they are, no longer remember the people who were once significant to them, who once they loved and who still love them, when they no longer can make sense of the world. What is life then? Sleeping with my eyes open, I was imagining of the possibilities of that to happen and I'm not sure how I would I ever take it. I love granny. Too much I don't even know how to describe that feeling.

Just when I desperately needed someone to talk to; not about my dream in particular but about other things to lighten my bewildered thoughts, the phone buzzed and I was overwhelmed by the name appeared on my text field-Just when I thought of the person I wanted to speak so much too. Blissful was how exactly I felt.

Uni is getting hectic as usual. Having no computers at anytime I need to work on assignments makes things worse. Thankfully I have lovely housemates who were kind to offer theirs when they're not using. Wei Wei in particular, if it wasn't for her laptop, I wouldn't have been able to hand in my assignment on time. Five more assignments down the line before the semester ends. Today is heck of a day dedicated to learning and cognition. By the time I came home from the computer lab, all I wanted to do was just to sit down and not move.

By 4.oopm, clouds started to gather, wind was howling even more louder than before. Still, we decided to go for our evening bushwalk. All the way through Hawken drive, and we came across an old sign saying "St. Lucia Bushwalk" (don't quite remember the exact wordings). It's an secluded area with no one except for both of us, a single path that leads to we-don't-know-where. Emily has been there before but never actually finish the trail. She told me about' the golf course and the river view which was indeed beautiful. We didn't finish the trail this time as the sky was slowly getting more cloudy and yes, I was afraid it might rain that we won't be able to get out of that area. It's not afterall a breathtaking place, but the untouched and redundant place like this somehow looks natural.

We took the UQ lake path home. Along the lake, we were greeted by a paddling of ducks, geese, turkeys and other unknown birds. It was my first time coming close to looking at how the drake and his duck safely protecting their little ducklings. How lovely. Other than the somewhat moldy and repulsive odor of the lake, the whole atmosphere was peaceful and refreshing. It's amazing how mother nature never fails to bring me back to my sensible and wholesome self. Those were the reviving moments.

I can't wait for the next time we do this again.
